My Story

Hi, I’m Angela

I am a Yoga Teacher and Reiki Master based in Shefford, Bedfordshire. I have a self-contained yoga studio and a treatment room (The Yoga Shala) in my home which affords comfort, peace, and a retreat to de-stress for my clients.

My Yoga Journey

Yoga has been part of my life for over 25 years, a regular practice both at home and in class.

One teacher in particular, Kanti, was my inspiration and mentor leading me and supporting me through my professional path to eventually become a Yoga Teacher. I was truly blessed to inherit 2 of her community classes, one of which where I was her student for around 10 years.

Having trained with various bodies, Hatha Yoga with British School of Yoga, Bristol Yin & Restorative yoga with Whitespace Yoga Studio, Milton Keynes. Yoga Anatomy and Physiology with Dr Andrew McGonigle (Dr Yogi), along with endless classes and workshops with some outstanding teachers and Master Teachers, both here in the Uk and India.

Learning continues to be an ongoing practice for me.

I am delighted that I can share my journey with you and introduce you to the delights and many benefits that yoga can bring into your life, in my The Yoga Shala in the heart of Shefford, Bedfordshire.

A large, spacious room, where I can comfortably accommodate up to 9 / 10 people. However, my classes tend to average 6 or 7 allowing me to create a bespoke class with individual attention and guidance.

It is important to be aware that a yoga journey is personal to you, and where your only concern is that of your own practice. When we step or sit upon our mats that is our time to honour ourselves and to connect within. Knowing and understanding that this practice alone will benefit so many aspects of our life and relationships.

When we get out of the head and move into body work, we can see and feel changes at a deep level. Helping us to overcome emotional blocks and fears to move forward in life. Bringing calm and balanced learning to love ourselves and honour our bodies as our vehicle to carry us through life. Helping us to build strength, stamina, flexibility both physically and mentally.

Yoga really is for anyone and anybody…….there are no pre requirements of flexibility or high levels of fitness, just a willingness to improve your overall health.
